Community Books

Community books are one of the many things The Discovery School for Inquiry and Research implements to build a community of lifelong readers. Each month a community book is read that highlights a Core Virtue.  Core Virtues are characteristics we expect each student to uphold.  Community books are books that are read by every student and staff member.  The story is discussed and students respond to the story in a creative way.  Community Books can also be used at home.  Parents can engage their child in discussion about the book's theme.  Use the chart below to stay current with the community book your child is reading this month.
